Calamus reading pix online

Hiya folks!

On Friday, October 22nd, Calamus Bookstore hosted a reading with contributors to the new anthology I DO, I DON'T: QUEERS ON MARRIAGE. There was a large turnout and it was a spirited event. Rocco and I drove up for dinner in Chinatown before heading to Calamus, where we were greeted kindly by John Mitzel, the owner. Being the two oldest guys there, John sort of hung around with us, although he was busy with other things.

There are pictures from the event on the bookstore Website: “Picture above left is AIME EVANS who introduced the readers and kept up a lively discussion. Above right is CECILIA TAN. Below left is GREG LANZA and below right is RON SURESHA.” I DO, I DON'T is a trade paperback from Suspect Thoughts Press, $16.96

For some reason, although I received my contributor copy before the reading, none of the other readers did. (Doesn't take much to make me feel special.) In any case, everyone read very well and there was a range of opinions expressed (mostly “I Do” as opposed to “I Don't”)

We also hung out with author/publisher/fetish promoter Cecilia Tan, with whom I've had email contact for years and have seen around at events like OutWrite – she encouraged me to contact the folks at KinkyBooks to see if they can find some space for me to sell and sign books during the Fetish Fair Fleamarket next month – Dec. 17-19. Long story short, I did and they will! So expect to see me there: details at:

I'll also be reading at The Alley Bar that Saturday evening before their regular Bear Night. Hope to see you there!

I almost hate to say this, but the Webbear has set up a Website blog for Suresha.com. I'll sent out parallel posts for now, but eventually I may blogging only there. We shall see…
