I just spoke with the Goddess! I was ON AIR WITH RANDI RHODES! [Swooning!] She was talking about some aspect of the new omnibus spending bill stipulating mandatory psychological testing and medication for adolescents across the country. I asked why we don't have mandatory psychological testing for our leaders. Can't we find some neutral nonpartisan entity who provides psychological profiles of our top legislators, military personnel, and religious groups? Funny, this was the fourth or fifth time my call was taken, but what kept happening was that I'd be on hold for an hour or more and then get disconnected. But today I knew just what I wanted to say short and sweet, and I called in and it rang and they took my call and I got on within 5 minutes. I got to coo to her in a very sexy voice, “It's such a pleasure to speak with you, Randi.” Be still, my beating heart. I'm sending her producer, Tim Allan Walker, kinda bearish gay guy, a copy of Bears on Bears. Heh heh.
When I was in NYC last weekend, I wish I coulda visited the Air America offices but there wasn't time. Although the reading went well, the registration for the I felt awful and returned home early with Rocco. The husbear and I did manage to squeeze in “Kinsey,” which I think might become the anti-Passion of the Christ” movie of 2005. Liam and Laura are brilliant, and the screenwriting is very powerful. Haven't seen Alexander but planning to soon!
