Quoted in Daily Beast on staged “bromances”, and de-ranked books noted on podcast

Ron was quoted in Rachel Kramer Bussel‘s awesome blog on The Daily Beast!

From TV bromances to political man crushes, male bisexuality has gone mainstream. But is it a sign of true sexual attraction—or just an act?
… Still, the very fact that the pair of Internet wunderkinds decided that cultivating a mystique of bisexuality could help their careers says something about the moment we’re living in.
“Why would any straight guy call a press conference to announce his bisexual inclinations, unless the whole thing was intended as a joke?” asks Ron Suresha, editor of Bi Men: Coming Out and Bisexual Perspectives on Kinsey. “I don’t know why these famehounds claim to be bisexual, but they don’t set off my ‘bi-dar’ one whiff. While I’m hopeful that their posed bisexuality is a harbinger of a new generation of heterosexual men who are actually willing to face their bi desires, from a distance this photo-op male ‘bonding’ seems completely contrived.”
Great article, Rachel!

And a shout-out to bear-ever is talking about my books among the GLBTQ titles among the Amazon de-rankings on the Cubby House podcast, and then sent out a shout-out to me on Facebook.

* The guys discuss the recent Amazon.com debacle which caused various “adult” themed books to be unlisted and have their sales rankings removed. Books about feminism, sexuality, body and health we’re removed from searches but books along the lines of “A parents guide to preventing homosexuality” remains up, something seems fishy. This affected prominant Bear writers Ron Suresha and Wayne Hoffman.

“Prominent”? Oh . . . it didn’t realize it’s sticking out.

Hmmm. If I’m so prominent, why haven’t they invited me on their show? It’s only episode 14, so I guess maybe they’re gettting up steam.
