Montréal & Easton

Rocco and I went to Montréal for the early part of DiverCité.
We stayed at the Big Boys B&B. The hot tub worked magnificently. Hanging out with the other guests over brunch was probably the best part of our visit. Montreal was nice, but hot and swampy, so we pretty much stayed in the Village and close to the hot tub. Was reasonably fun at Le Stud.

Then returning from Montreal, we stayed the weekend at Easton Mountain, a gay men's spiritual retreat and intentional community near Troy, to discuss possible seminars or workshops I could present there. A moderate sized facility in a gorgeous setting. Did I mention they have a pool and hot tub? (And much more.)
The community was founded by John Stasio, who lived in Jamaica Plain when I did, but who did not remember the person whom I thought had once lived with him. How was I mistaken? Anyway, Rocco and I finally got a bit of a chance to relax, though it was some work for me. The weather was perfect there, Easton was a lovely environment, and the folks there very nice. I'll be returning this month, and regularly, I hope. Can't say much now but we're considering a “Bear Your Soul” weekend, and something for gay & bi dads.

Hit the ground running when we got back in. Now I'm full throttle already with work. The Kinsey retrospective's coming together brilliantly. The Journal of Bisexuality agreed to make it a double issue.

Tomorrow's the BRC board meeting where we'll vote on fiduciary sponsorship of 10 ICB. In preparation I just read Getting to Yes. Yes, while on holiday.
