100% Beef – new issue(s) with those serious bears

Just picked up my copy of 100% Beef in the mail today, and on pages 43 & 44 is my interview with Wayne Hoffman, author of the new novel Hard. Stream the audio for the “Bear Soup” interview with Wayne Hoffman  here.

Also on page 63 is an adapted press release of sorts:

Also on page 63 is an adapted press release of sorts from our bearbuddies at Sirius Radio, which ignores the rest of the bear radio shows and podcasts, several of which preceded BigDog's show with international listeners.
BigDog Steve contacted me earlier this year asking me to appear on his show, which he was calling “Bear Soup” at the time. When I gently pointed out that “Bear Soup” was already a well-developed talk show on BearRadio, BigDog and John McMullen scrambled to come up with another name. Eventually the Very Serious legal department, said McM, cleared their alternate show name “BearTalk.”
BigDog Steve called me up and berated me for having pointed out that he'd fucked up, without acknowledging that he'd not even bothered to Google “Bear Soup” or “Bear Radio.” Instead, he criticized my handling of his interview request, saying, “That's not my style.” He also told me that he and his partner had been on Bears' Mailing List for “like, ten years.” But

had almost two years earlier posted several BML notices about BearRadio.net, and I had posted specifically about “Bear Soup.” BigDog is confused, or perhaps he  just misspoke, or perhaps he wasn't really reading the BML. But clearly it's important for him to say he has the “first and only national radio feature,” though the facts  don't really sustain that claim.
I'm just saying. Your thoughts welcome.
