Bitchslapping the Notion of Reality

Hanukkah was a very secular event at our household this year. I was sad and busy and didn't want to cook (puts bad energy in the food) but Rocco got flowers and a nice cake, supposedly adopted from a cake that looks like a Yule log, but the icing wasn't white and blue. The rest of the season promises to be more of the same. Rocco's working lots otherwise; in fact, he's on call Christmas. But maybe we'll have some folks over New Year's Eve for a potluck  for cocktails. Any LJers in SECT who wanna join us are welcome.

I'm proofreading another Shambhala Publications project, a fairly esoteric Buddhist text entitled The Great Medicine That Conquers Clinging to the Notion of Reality. The synchronicity of the arrival of this job is just stunning: nothing like suddenly losing a former boyfriend to just smack the stuff and nonsense outta reality. But this Buddhist text is a great antidote!
