Back, and how.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to posting on LJ quite as much as I do right now. It's not that I have tons of good news and other to share – although I do indeed – it's more of a feeling of being able to return to my computer after a week away, and having had the iMac Superdrive serviced (though for some reason it still won't recognize the kd lang CD I bought in Toronto – harumph), and knowing I have enough time to take a few moments and say hi to everyone I've so neglected over the while.

Ah, the pleasure of leisure.

Right this moment I'm having a very humorous AOL IM from someone who sorta knows me.

6:41PM

Anyhoo, so it seems this guy knows me from my Bear Cafe reading in NYC a few months ago. Or not.

Is lmfao = laughing my fat ass off ? In that case, lmsao!
Funny how coming back from IBR, I become acutely aware of how relatively skinny I am. And I'm not in great shape these days. Looks like I'm heading beyond a size 34 waist at this rate. Oy! But that's nothing compared with the biiiiig gals who attend IBR, the father of all bear hootenannies.

I may never get over my initial sight of hostess Tish – whose figure resembles the late great Divine – coming onstage in a bear-flag styled dress.
