Ptown SBW reading

From Wednesday until yesterday, I was in Provincetown for Summer Bear Week, staying in the gracious accommodations of my JP-transplant-bi-bearpal, hwynym-Jim, and fellow East Providenizen Russell.

On Thursday I did a reading at John Burrows' Art @ Home Gallery, originally scheduled during the national Summer Bear Week event for the purpose of promoting BEAR LUST. A lovely crowd: sitting room only! And you know how big those bears are! I joked that Intl Mr Grizz 2003 Jay Duckworth, a big fan of Bears on Bears in Ptown for the popular event from NYC, could have seated four men on his lap. I read from KINK, as it turned out, the first two pieces.

John and everyone from Ptown Bears who ran the event were incredibly welcoming, and the gallery was the perfect space for it – just enough room, and surrounded by such wonderful tilework and ceramics and framed art.

Today I just received my copy of BEEF mag #14, with the properly formatted “Winn-Dixie” story and a lovely plug for KINK. Gotta hand it to Beef ed Scott McG. This ish has the return of the coverwoof Jack Radcliffe, who truly is looking hotter'n ever. I remember when I met him while we both worked at the Lone Star, before he was so well known. He also contributed to Bears on Bears and supported its release with an IBR booksigning. So it's nice to see him glowing on the cover.

My admiration for Scott's work doesn't demean my appreciation for American Bear!!!

If anyone has come across any reviews of KINK, by the way, I’d appreciate if you can forward a copy to me.
